[Moroccan Navy rescues 111 stowaways in the Mediterranean]

According to Moroccan media reports on the 18th, the Coast Guard affiliated with the Moroccan Navy rescued 111 stowaways in the Mediterranean Sea on the 15th and 16th of this month.

Moroccan official news agencies quoted military sources as reporting that the Moroccan Coast Guard found multiple stranded rubber boats in the Mediterranean Sea and rescued 111 people on board. Most of these stowaways are from sub-Saharan countries, and the Coast Guard has provided necessary care to some of them in poor health. The 111 people have now been sent to ports in northern Morocco.

The second round of talks between the Libyan Joint Military Commission, which is mediated by the United Nations, began in Geneva on the 18th.
