On the morning of January 22, the Fifth Session of the 13th CPPCC Shanghai Municipal Committee held a plenary meeting to elect some members of the Standing Committee of the 13th SHANGHAI MUNICIPAL COMMITTEE. Dong Yunhu, chairman of the Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, presided over the meeting.

The meeting adopted the election method, the list of superintendent voters and scrutineers. After voting, Huang Guoping was elected secretary general of the 13th Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and Qiu Yufeng, Wu Aiqun, Sun Ganlin, Yan Xu, Li Guisheng, Zhang Xiaosong, Chen Xuejun, Chen Haibo, Hu Peiyan, Jiang Xun, Yao Hai, Yao Zhuoyun, Xu Jiming, and Pan Xuexian were elected as standing members of the 13th Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

The meeting approved the list of some members of the Standing Committee of the 13th Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference to leave their posts. Due to the change of his job position, Pei Xiaoxi resigned as secretary general of the CPPCC Municipal Committee, and the meeting thanked him for his important contribution to the service guarantee of the work of the CPPCC municipal committee to improve quality and efficiency, and high-quality development. Ma Chi, Wang Qiuliang, Zhu Chenggang, Su Xingang, Li An, Li Hong, Li Weidong, Wu Zhenmei, Shen Min, Shen Zhigang, Lu Jianqiang, Chen Jianxing, Xu Li, Xu Jianmin, Xi Junyang, Huang Rong, and Tong Shijun, members of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC Municipal Committee, were invited to resign as standing committee members of the CPPCC Municipal Committee due to changes in their posts, and the meeting thanked them for their hard work in promoting the work of the CPPCC.
