Fools buy shoes

A long time ago, Zheng Guo had a very young man who loved to read. One day, he was reading by the brazier with relish, but he kicked over the brazier and the small flame jumped on his shoes.

The reader did not know what to do for a while, and suddenly saw a sentence in the book: "Oranges can lower fire!" So he quickly picked up the orange and took a big bite, and the orange juice just happened to fall on the shoe.

The fire went out, but the shoes burned a hole, and he had to go to the market to buy new shoes.

Can this reader buy the right shoes?

【Allusions 123】

"Fools buy shoes" is from "Han Feizi".

The story is about a Zheng Guoren who wants to buy shoes, but when he arrives at the shoe shop, he only believes in the size he got before measuring his feet. He preferred to go back and get the size on the paper than to believe his feet, so he didn't buy the right shoes and made a big joke.

The story tells us that we should be flexible in handling things according to the actual situation, and we cannot just copy our previous experience.

【Interpretation I know】

This idiom is used as a metaphor for the practice of only knowing how to reproduce the provisions without taking into account the actual situation.

【I can make sentences】

Piglet went to buy a flower hat, not knowing how big the size was suitable, so he called and asked the mother pig.

The mother pig told the piglet: "Wear it yourself to try it, in order to buy the most suitable hat, don't be like a fool buying shoes, only believe in the previous experience." ”
