Beijing, November 13 (China News Network) -- The "Simple to True - Climax Painting Art Exhibition" sponsored by the National Art Museum of China opened in Beijing on the 13th. This exhibition was included in the "Ministry of Culture and Tourism 2020 National Fine Art Collection and Donation Award Project" and the "National Art Museum of China Donation and Collection Series Exhibition", which is the first solo exhibition of Mr. Climax since the new century, and also a large-scale retrospective exhibition of Climax Art Life.

The climax is a professor, oil painter and art educator at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Born in Hebei in 1927, he actively participated in the student movement on the eve of liberation; in 1951, he participated in the Chinese People's Volunteer Army to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea when he studied at the Central Academy of Fine Arts; in 1954, he returned to the school to continue his studies, completed his studies in 1956, and stayed on to teach after graduation. His oil paintings embody the demands of the times after the founding of New China, when art reflects social life, embodies the concern for national history, praises to ordinary people, and praises for daily labor.

The exhibition is divided into five parts: theme creation, landscape painting creation, landscape sketching, character sketching, and creative conception, and comprehensively presents the painter's true and simple artistic style through more than 200 painting works.

The National Art Museum of China has collected the oil paintings "Taking the Road of Cooperation" and "Rain", which were created in 1959 and 1979 respectively, which are well-known representative works. On the occasion of this exhibition, the 93-year-old painter generously donated 30 oil paintings, drawings and sketches to the National Art Museum of China, covering his representative creative styles from the 1950s to the new century. Including the 1957 oil painting "Rural Iron Workshop", the work uses color blocks to shape characters and spaces, vividly showing the summer blacksmith workshop; the character sketch "Hebei Rural Female Member" created in 1972 presents the image of the female member she saw when she participated in rural labor; the oil painting "Heart to Heart" created in 1978 to commemorate Premier Zhou Enlai, reflecting the deep feelings of the people and Premier Zhou's sincere treatment and heart connection; the oil painting "Moon Night Hometown" created in 1984. It shows the happy life of the peasants on the roof after a day of hard work, and the three or five neighbors gather to chat and talk about the happy life.

The climactic painting contains a simple, natural temperament. The courtyards, the ancient trees, the haystacks, the stoves, became poetic beings in his pen. As Mr. Dong Xiwen commented: the climax is "China's Bruegel". His landscape paintings have a unique local atmosphere, a deep, generous love of laborers and the land. At the same time, his paintings are full of sincere and genuine emotions.
