On January 17, 2022, when the Red Boat Editorial Department visited General Wen Zhongmin, the former political commissar of Nanjing University of Political Science, he learned of the sudden death of his son Wen Yu. On January 11, Comrade Wen Yu, a librarian of the military museum of the Chinese Revolution, died of cardiac arrest at the age of 46.
It is understood that Wen Yu was born in 1976 in Xianyang, Shaanxi. He joined the army in December 1993. He joined the Communist Party of China in April 1995. With 29 years of military experience, he has worked in the military museum cultural relics collection post for 14 years, collecting more than 5,000 cultural relics. He has won many military commendations and was awarded the third class of personal merit once.
The greatest sorrow in the world is that the white-haired people send the black-haired people. In 2010, he went to the Yushu earthquake area and the Zhouqu mudslide disaster area to recover more than 330 pieces of rescue and disaster relief objects; in 2018, he braved the typhoon to climb Kaishan Island and requisitioned 32 physical objects of the people's model Wang Jicai; in 2020, he took the initiative to join the army to support Hubei's fight against the new crown epidemic and the collection team, went deep into the front line of the fight against the epidemic such as Huoshenshan Hospital, risked his life and colleagues to obtain 314 anti-epidemic objects, more than 700 copies of pictures and materials; in 2021, he rushed to the frontier thousands of miles. From the Karakoram Plateau, which is nearly 4,000 meters above sea level and more than 20 degrees Celsius at night, 55 cultural relics related to the hero group of the Weiguo Shubian Group in the new era were collected, and more than 700 clues were collected.

On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the army, Wen Yu was fully prepared, but he could no longer complete this major exhibition with his colleagues.
