A number of media in Los Angeles reported that the 74-year-old former California governor and Hollywood action superstar Schwarzenegger was in a car accident this evening, and a woman was sent to the hospital. Witnesses said the crash was exaggerated and looked like a movie stunt.
Entertainment news website TMZ published photos of the crash scene, reporting that Schwarzenegger was driving a Jimsey (GMC) Yukon SUV that crashed into a Toyota Prius sedan around 5 p.m. today.
TMZ quoted eyewitnesses as saying that after Arnold's RV crashed into the red Prius, it tumbled at one point and finally pressed against the roof of the Prius, hitting a Porsche next to it.
The Los Angeles Times pointed out that Arnold's spokesman confirmed that the driver was Arnold himself, who had just driven out of his home and was driving the GMC Yukon RVS. Arnold was not injured and remained at the scene after the crash, waiting for the police to arrive.
The Los Angeles City Police Department told the media that the crash did not involve drugs or drunk driving, that the parties were left at the scene, and that the police would not release any other information.
