In his research, he found that with the rising proportion of the elderly population, various social problems brought about by the aging of our province have also become prominent, among which the health and medical problems of the elderly need to be solved urgently. Strengthening the construction of geriatric departments in medical institutions is an effective way to solve the health and medical problems of the elderly. He suggested strengthening the cultivation of geriatric professionals, cultivating geriatric medical, nursing, and rehabilitation talents as urgently needed talents, and increasing geriatric professional degrees in higher medical colleges and secondary vocational medical and health schools to build specialties with geriatric characteristics in medical institutions.
