Jinyi Metropolitan Area is the fourth largest city in Zhejiang Province after Hangzhou, Ningbo and Wenzhou. The fifth provincial-level new district in Zhejiang, Jinyi New District, is located on the main axis of Jinyi Gold, with Jinhua urban area on one side and Yiwu on the other, with obvious location advantages.
Under the background of high-quality development and construction of a common prosperity demonstration zone, Jinhua's promotion of high-level construction and high-quality development in Zhejiang's fourth largest metropolitan area is of strategic significance to the overall situation of the province. This year's Zhejiang Provincial Government Work Report clearly states that it is necessary to promote the urbanization and development of Jinyiju contracts; in addition, it is necessary to promote the Jinyi area of the pilot free trade zone to build the world's small commodity capital.
The eleventh plenary (expanded) meeting of the seventh session of the Jinhua Municipal Party Committee held not long ago also proposed that the key to urban co-construction lies in the improvement of energy level, focusing on enhancing the driving force of Jinyi integration, including fully supporting Yiwu and Jinyi New Area to accelerate development and improve contribution; and solidly promoting industrial belts, comprehensive transportation and project co-construction.
Li Xiongwei believes that in terms of regional indicators, the local plan is to accelerate the increment and increase the total amount in terms of GDP, effective investment, and per mu taxation, while achieving dislocation development with Yiwu in all aspects, reflecting tension and pulling momentum in the joint construction of urban areas.

How to better build an urban area?
Li Xiongwei believes that Jinhua City, Yiwu City and Jinyi New District need to coordinate overall planning and development, such as forming a systematic plan in the city and transportation. "The industrial chain can be connected to form an industrial belt; the talent attraction and investment attraction platforms in their respective regions can be interconnected."
The joint construction of the metropolitan area is inseparable from the process of "breaking the old and building the new". Li Xiongwei told reporters that for Jinyi New Area, "breaking" lies in the continuous improvement and reform of institutional mechanisms, and "standing" lies in the traction of industries and projects.
"We will enhance the driving force and overall planning of urban development through measures such as co-construction concept, development planning integration, industrial upgrading and maintenance chain communication, and platform building communication, and accelerate the development of mutual development and aggregation in the context of Jinhua's 'chess game'."
