A university laboratory in Nanjing exploded and caused 2 deaths and 9 injuries to talk about the lack of safety management

Information about laboratory explosions in recent years has been occasionally heard. Every time I see similar news, I feel very sad. It is not easy for the state to train a skilled researcher. It was buried in vain. We often say that technology is people-oriented. Although it is just an advertising slogan. In fact, talent is more important than this. No talent you build even the most expensive laboratories are rootless water. As an important place for teaching and scientific research, safety should be the top priority of the laboratory.

We now generally talk about the laboratory, and we all say how much it cost? How advanced and expensive the equipment is. It is rare to see people say that we have put a lot of effort into security precautions, how much effort we have made, and how much improvement we have made. It seems that money and equipment are more important than people. There are also many university laboratories and enterprise laboratories that lack safety supervision, and no department specifically inspects this area. Universities and enterprises are also unwilling to invest money and manpower in related aspects, which eventually leads to lax laboratory management, incomplete safety equipment, inadequate personnel safety training, and weak safety awareness.

We sincerely hope that the relevant departments can strengthen supervision of this area. Something like this isn't just about the loss of money. The loss of talent is even more immeasurable.
