"Fortunately, the loss is not large, in case it is not found in time, it will cause a fire." Mr. Zhang, who lives on the 21st floor of The Shangmei Mansion in Xiaoshan, Hangzhou, recalls what happened a few days ago and still has palpitations.
On January 15, Mr. Zhang dried his quilt on a retractable hanger outside the balcony. At 2 p.m., when he went to dry the quilt, he found an unquenched cigarette butt in the middle, and the quilt smoked out a small hole, and the area was still expanding. Living so high, it was even "thrown from a high altitude", Mr. Zhang immediately called the police.

After receiving the alarm call, the police of the Chengxiang police station visited the households above the floor where Mr. Zhang was located, and the Meihualou community cooperated with the police to retrieve the high-altitude camera images of the community, and after comparison and questioning, the police quickly found suspicious personnel. After the police contacted him, he said that he did smoke on the balcony, but did not admit that it was a cigarette butt he threw.
After the community and the property understood the situation, they became a "peacemaker". On the afternoon of January 17, the smoking resident paid for the fruit and entrusted the community and property staff to go to Mr. Zhang's home to offer condolences.
After coordination, Mr. Zhang said that he did not want to affect the "neighborhood feelings" because of this matter, and he did not want to affect everyone's safety in the future because he did not attach importance to this matter, which was his original intention to call the police; now that the matter has passed, there is something wrong with drying outside the high-rise window. Community workers also said that for high-altitude projectiles, the community will continue to increase publicity with the property, and conduct a comprehensive inspection of fire fighting equipment and public safety facilities in the community.
