First, let's define what a mixed signal looks like.
Mixed signals in this case = Your ex did something that made you think they didn't like you anymore, and then followed up by doing something that made you think they didn't like you.
This concept is often referred to as "rubber band" or other names like "hot" or "cold," but does that mean your ex still cares?
Well, mixed signals and feelings are better than all negative feelings!
If your exes give you mixed signals, they're at war with themselves internally because they're not sure how they feel about you or what they should do, if any. Think of your ex as a constant swing of emotions – from "hot" to you, to "cold" and not interested.
If they simply don't care, there won't be "hot" moments when they like you. So, these mixed signals are definitely a positive sign that your ex still has feelings for you and that there is conflict over how to handle them.
