On the afternoon of January 21, the Fifth Session of the 13th People's Congress of Guangdong Province held a collective interview activity of "representative channel". Xia Huimin said that the Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Structural Birth Defect Disease Research created by Guangzhou Women's and Children's Center has further strengthened the classification and sequential management of multi-step screening before marriage, pregnancy, pregnancy, maternity, postpartum, pregnant women, newborns and children, and optimized the whole chain of birth defect prevention and control services.

At the same time, guangzhou women's and children's center, as the leader of the maternal, newborn and child critical care centers, has established a three-level referral and treatment network of district maternal and child health hospitals, obstetric hospitals and community health service centers, reducing maternal and newborn mortality.

In addition, Guangzhou Women's and Children's Center has the highest level of hospital informatization system and data center in China, and the "Health Care Bear Doctor" artificial intelligence products and Internet hospital construction seamlessly connect the family-hospital-community service network, successfully implement two rounds of maternal and infant health action plans, and provide more convenient maternal and child health services.

"These have all played an important role in critical moments." Xia Huimin recalled that in June 2021, the Delta virus attacked Guangzhou head-on, in the face of the medical needs of pregnant women in the sealed control area, the Guangzhou Women's and Children's Center quickly established a full closed-loop working mechanism from demand acquisition to service landing, and launched the "Sui Hao Pregnancy" mini program to obtain information and needs of more than 3,200 pregnant women in the sealing area; established a "three-person team" composed of doctors, nurses and community workers to provide door-to-door services for pregnant women; implemented special car "point-to-point" to solve the "last kilometer" problem of admission to hospital and waiting for delivery; stationed medical staff stationed in the sealing and control area. Critically ill newborns were transferred to the Women's and Children's Center for treatment at the first time.

During the sealing period, 202 mothers in the sealing area gave birth smoothly, and the mother and baby were safe.

Xia Huimin said that Guangzhou Women's and Children's Center will continue to work hard to provide more professional and accurate services for the health of women and children throughout the life cycle, and improve the people's sense of gain, happiness and security.
