Heijing Ancient Town is the famous "Salt Capital" on the "Southwest Silk Road", 200 kilometers away from the provincial capital Kunming, and was named "Provincial Characteristic Town" in 2021. Nowadays, wandering in the ancient streets and lanes of the town, every few tens of meters you can see a set of IP cameras, fire hotspots, people flow, traffic flow for all-round, no dead end real-time monitoring, IP cameras have both audio shouting function, and actively play the role of "information release, crowd evacuation", while littering and other uncivilized behaviors in a timely manner, becoming an important guarantee for the improvement of fire safety, social security and human settlement environment governance in the ancient town.

Song Min, secretary of the party committee of Heijing Town, told reporters that in addition to the existing "Kunming-Heijing" slow train, the "Muding-Yuanmou" expressway and the "Guangtong-Heijing" three-level road will soon be put into use, which will greatly shorten the traffic distance between Heijing Ancient Town and Panzhihua and Kunming, the provincial capital, and rely on the radiation function of the "source distribution center" of the two places, which will comprehensively promote the rapid development of the tourism economy of Heijing Ancient Town.
