CCTV News (reporter Wang Lili): In the Taiyuan Depot of China Railway Taiyuan Bureau Group Co., Ltd., there is a high-speed rail mechanic crew composed of 14 female college students, which is the first high-speed rail mechanic crew composed of all female college students in the country.
This year, it is their third time to meet the Spring Festival "big test", these 14 team members have completed more than 13,000 trips of duty tasks, single safety value mileage of more than 2.1 million kilometers.
At 5:30 a.m. on January 20, the temperature in Taiyuan was minus 11 degrees Celsius. Dressed in overalls and wearing long tongue hats marked with the railway road emblem on their heads, the team members began their day's work. After the alcohol test, checking the train information, confirming the risk warning card and other contents, the team members successively went to the stock channel where the EMU stayed and began a routine inspection.
Each high-speed train is equipped with a mechanic on board. Before leaving the warehouse, the mechanic should carefully check whether the bottom of the train, skirt, cover plate are locked in place, and whether the wheel pedal surface has peeled off and scratched nearly 100 work items. Almost every few seconds, the mechanics have to complete a crouching action; each time they check a job item point, they have to take a picture and record the oral inspection points and technical requirements with a camera flashlight.
During the train's journey, the mechanics on board could not rest. In the carriage, they have to patrol every 2 hours to check whether the service facilities in the car are in good use, monitor whether there is any abnormal sound in the walking part of the car, and check the operation status of the equipment in the car.
Climbing operation, mastering emergency tools, installing more than 30 kg of mobile hooks... These are the "essential skills" of every mechanic who travels with the car. This year is the third Spring Festival since they were on duty alone, and Yang Jing, the captain of the crew, said that they love their work, that is, to exchange their professional technical level for the safe and punctual operation of the high-speed rail, and it is their greatest satisfaction to see every passenger travel safely.
