Uber launched its takeaway delivery business in Paris, delivering essentials to shoppers' doorsteps in 15 minutes to combat Europe's fierce retail store delivery business. Uber said it expanded its partnership with Carrefour to launch a service called Carrefour Sprint. Instead of sending couriers to Carrefour stores, Uber relies on small warehouses run by French startup Cajoo, as well as pickers and packers recruited by the company to prepare orders and deliveries.
