In recent years, cross-border e-commerce has developed rapidly, and as a new format, new model and new momentum for the development of foreign trade, it has provided diversified ways for traditional enterprises to open up the international market and reduce the threshold of cross-border trade. The rapid development of the industry has spawned an urgent demand for talents.
As early as last November, Chongqing Xiyong Comprehensive Insurance District signed a strategic framework agreement with eBay. The two sides will rely on the industrial location advantages of Xiyong Comprehensive Insurance Zone and the brand effect of eBay platform, improve the industrial chain and ecosystem of Cross-border E-commerce in Xiyong, jointly create relevant projects such as talent training, enterprise incubation, and industrial aggregation, and promote the formation of a cross-border e-commerce 10-billion-level industrial cluster in Xiyong.

The project will take Xiyong Cross-border E-commerce Industrial Park (eBay Park) and Yubei Cross-border E-commerce Institute Talent Incubation Base as the carrier to cultivate cross-border e-commerce professionals, introduce advantageous industrial clusters, improve supporting facilities and services, and build a high-level cross-border e-commerce one-library and two-base three-center system construction (one library is a cross-border e-commerce industry think tank, two bases are innovation and entrepreneurship bases and training incubation bases, three centers are comprehensive service centers, warehousing and logistics centers and industrial development centers), and gradually form a set of talent training, enterprise incubation, A cross-border e-commerce industry ecosystem with complete functions such as online transactions, platform construction, logistics and distribution, and financial support, and multi-format integration and development.
At present, eBay talent incubation preferred service providers have signed cooperation agreements with Chongqing Normal University, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Chongqing Technology and Business University, Sichuan Foreign Chinese University, Chongqing Vocational College of Electronic Engineering, Chongqing Industrial Vocational and Technical College, Chongqing Vocational College of Commerce and other colleges and universities to jointly build a cross-border e-commerce talent training and industry-education integration training base, and will carry out cooperation and exploration in many aspects such as industry-education integration, co-creation of majors, joint education, and talent transportation. It is expected to export thousands of professionals of various types to Chongqing's cross-border e-commerce industry every year.
In 2021, Xiyong Comprehensive Insurance Zone was approved to become the first batch of cross-border e-commerce demonstration zones in Chongqing, as one of the first batch of cross-border e-commerce pilots in the country, the cross-border e-commerce business in the comprehensive insurance zone will achieve a foreign trade import and export value of 7.83 billion yuan in 2021, which is 3 times that of the same period in 2020.
