The tools of giants – also translated as the Bible of victory in life
By Timothy Ferriss
Douban score: 7.2

There are many life philosophies and life suggestions of world-class figures in the book, which can help you find ways to deal with bottlenecks and dilemmas, help you achieve your goals, and build the life you want.
There are a few touching stories to share with you:
First advice: Act on what you want and don't wait
Peter Tyre, the co-founder of PayPal, became an angel investor after he sold PayPal to Ebay.
His advice to young people is that if you have good ideas and goals, don't waste time waiting, and be able to jump out of the framework of patterns. Change your behavior patterns, and your life will change with it.
Peter Till believes that everyone has a different life trajectory, if everyone follows the same path of university graduation and work, then people's thinking will lack diversity, society will lack vitality, and social development will slow down accordingly.
Peter Till especially reminds college freshmen who want to choose a major to ask themselves a few questions when choosing, "I chose this major only because I want to get a good job after graduation, or do I really like this major?"
Second tip: Overcome fears and step out of your comfort zone
The person who gave this advice was a successful lawyer who worked hard every day and tightened a string every day. The moment he wakes up every morning and turns off his alarm, he asks himself, is he going to live like this for 40-50 years?
Finally, he made up his mind to quit his job and leave the company to experience a different life on an expedition to Brazil. Since then, he has understood that as long as he can take the first step, the road ahead is not as terrible as he thought.
Sometimes you don't know what kind of life you want to live, but at least you know what kind of life you don't want to live. Take the courage to try and explore the unknown world.
The third tip: make the most of resources and what to use
How much investment does a successful film take and how long does it take to produce? What actor props are even needed?
The famous producer, screenwriter and director Robert Raleigh Guez, was not optimistic about the film when he created the award-winning film "Killer Lament", shooting it as an experimental film, using a lot of narrative methods that "normal" films would not use, so it gave people a refreshing feeling.
That's the benefit of the experiment, Robert says. Experiments are likely to fail, but if recognized, they are groundbreaking successes.
In fact, many times it is ourselves who hinder the path of our own development. Fear of stagnating in the face of setbacks, fear of failure becoming procrastination...
This book is a mentor and friend for you to chase your dreams, it sometimes inspires you, sometimes it warns you, all the purpose is to tell you that successful people are people who dare to take the first step, and in fact, failure is not so terrible.
If you're already on your way to chasing your dreams and the story you're looking forward to hasn't had a happy ending yet, keep up the good work because your story hasn't come to an end yet.
