Gu Long (June 7, 1938 – September 21, 1985), formerly known as Xiong Yaohua, was born in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, of Han ethnicity, born in Hong Kong on June 7, 1938, and graduated from Tamkang University in Taiwan.
The famous martial arts novelist, the new school of martial arts novels, together with Jin Yong, Liang Yusheng and Wen Ruian, is known as the four masters of Chinese martial arts novels. One of the four masters of contemporary Chinese new martial arts, the new school of martial arts novels Taidou and Grandmaster, and the founder of Baolong Film Company.
Representative works include "Amorous Swordsman Ruthless Sword", "Absolute Double Pride", "Hero Without Tears" and so on. Gu Long introduced martial arts novels into the halls of classic literature, brought elements such as drama, reasoning, and poetry into traditional martial arts, and integrated his own unique philosophy of life into it, making Chinese and foreign classics cast a furnace, creating a new era of modern martial arts novels, and pushing martial arts literature to a new peak.
On September 21, 1985, due to cirrhosis of the liver and venous hemorrhage, Gu Long died in Taiwan at the age of 48.
Gu Long wrote 50 works before and after, a series of counted one, because there are too many works, I will not go into detail.
