Recently, the reporter learned from the website of the Hunan Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau that the former residence and tomb of Dai Jinwu in Hengyang County and the former site of the Qingtan and Archway branches of the CPC were selected as cultural relics protection units in Hunan Province.
Dai Jinwu Former Residence is located in Fuxing Village, Yongshan Township, Hengyang County, covering an area of 418.4 square meters, with a construction area of 270 square meters, and was listed as a municipal cultural relics protection unit in 2016. In 2021, the Hengyang County Government will carry out a comprehensive renovation of the former residence, and the number of visitors will continue to come every year.
Founded in 1938, the Qingtan Underground Branch of the Communist Party of China is subordinate to the Central Special Branch, which is the only party organization in Hengyang that has been established since the anti-war period and has not been interrupted until liberation, and was once known as the "Little Soviet District" in Hunan.
The former site of the underground branch of the CPC Arch is located in Jianlu Village, Kuzongqiao Town, and was once the site of the Hunan Intelligence Group of the Special Operations Section of the CPC Central Committee and the Xiangheng guerrilla group led by the CPC Central Committee. In 2020, Hengyang County launched the restoration project of the old site of the underground branch of the CPC Arch to restore the original appearance.
