The "Yang" family will compete on the stage - the 2021 Yangzhou Yang Opera Research Institute Youth Performer Business Assessment was successfully completed
From January 16th to 17th, Yangzhou Yangju Research Institute organized 37 young actors and performers to conduct business assessment in the rehearsal hall on the 9th floor. This business assessment aims to test the training and teaching achievements of young actors and performers in the past year, further enhance their professional level and practical work ability; promote "training" with "examination", tap their potential, and mobilize their enthusiasm for work; through the assessment, find outstanding young talents, and achieve the purpose of producing people, improving the overall strength level of the theater troupe, and promoting the sustainable development of the opera cause. This assessment specially invited the band judges Wang Anshun, Lu Xiaojie, Zhao Zhenfang, Wang Zhaoqi, Kong Lingfeng, and the actor judges Li Longbin, Xu Yaling, Yang Yan, Yang Qianli, and Li Zhengcheng to serve as the judges of this assessment, and scored the assessors on the spot.
The actor assessment is divided into two categories: the prescribed repertoire assessment and the self-selected singing basic skills assessment; the performers are divided into the main repertoire and the visual repertoire assessment. Previously, the participants in the assessment have carried out meticulous preparation and rehearsal, and selected their own masterpiece repertoire, such as "Sweeping the SongXia Book", "You'an Recognizing The Mother", "Exploring the Cold Kiln", "Breaking the Empress", "Shangjin Mountain", "Sitting on the Building to Kill", "Monks and Nuns Descending the Mountain", "Wusong Dadian", "Picking A Scooter" and other classic traditional folding drama fragments. Singing and dancing, each showing his own skills, showing a team of young talents with complete industries, diverse genres, and both culture and martial arts. The performers put themselves into one musical work after another with full enthusiasm and deep feelings, showing their profound playing skills at the same time, but also bringing everyone an auditory enjoyment. This examination is not only a competition for the professional ability of young actors and performers, but also a wonderful display of their own talents, and it is also a full demonstration of the overall strength of our young talents.
Li Zhengcheng, director of the Yangzhou Yang Opera Research Institute, said after the assessment, he hoped that all the cast and crew would take this assessment as a starting point, continue to summarize well, think seriously, and constantly improve themselves, and with the fighting spirit of vigorous and unremitting efforts, they would take a more solid step and harvest more wonderful results on the road of inheriting the art of opera!
