In June 2021, Jin Guiguang invested more than 400,000 yuan to prepare more than 20 mu of land in his own mountain farm in the village, and spent 50,000 yuan to introduce "Daping No. 2" high-quality earthworm seedlings from Henan for breeding, and through scientific management, it has achieved success.
"I mainly use the cow manure from the dairy farm in Zhulangtang Village, Baimangying Town, Jianghua Wenshi Dairy Co., Ltd. to breed earthworms, 4 tons of cow manure can produce 1 ton of earthworm manure, and earthworm manure can be sold to fruit farmers for a profit of more than 400 yuan." Jin Guiguang said.
"Earthworms, also known as earth dragons, can be used to produce traditional Chinese medicine, Western medicine, etc., and can also be used as fodder for poultry and livestock. After processing, earthworms are sold to pharmaceutical factories for the extraction of proteases, earthworm enzymes and other biological drugs. Fresh earthworms are mainly sold to Guangdong, Guangxi and other places. Jin Guiguang said.
