The position of prime minister may not really be preserved

British Prime Minister Johnson has recently been mired in a series of scandals of violating anti-epidemic measures and is facing the worst crisis in his term. At least 20 Conservative MPs have been accused of writing letters proposing a motion of no confidence against the prime minister, putting Johnson at risk of stepping down.

According to the British "Daily Telegraph" reported on the 18th, the Conservative MPs who intend to propose a motion of no confidence to Johnson are all MPs elected in the 2019 general election. The Conservative Whip believes that the number of MPs who submitted a motion of no confidence in the prime minister is about 20, but some MPs said that the threshold of 54 people may be reached as early as the 19th, triggering a vote of no confidence in the prime minister.

According to British media, between May 2020 and April 2021, the Prime Minister's official residence at 10 Downing Street hosted at least 11 parties, when the United Kingdom twice imposed a national lockdown and severely limited the number of people at social gatherings.

Under intense pressure, Johnson recently admitted that he attended an event at 10 Downing Street Garden on May 20, 2020. Johnson's chief private secretary, Reynolds, sent an email invitation to as many as 100 Prime Minister's Office employees to bring their own alcohol to a "social distancing reception."

However, Johnson once told the parliament that he thought it was a work-oriented activity, but Johnson's former chief adviser Dominic Cummings said on the 18th that Johnson deceived the parliament, and he had long known that it was a cocktail party. Johnson denied this, saying he had not lied to Parliament.

In July 2019, Johnson succeeded Theresa May as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and led LinkedIn countries to complete Brexit.
