More than 20 years ago, Frédérient launched the Highlife series. In 2020, the brand brought the collection back to the forefront of watchmaking. Today, the flagship Highlife series of its own movement perpetual calendar watches debuted in the face of a mysterious blue-gray disc.

Born in 1999, the Highlife series is a milestone in Frédérique Frédérique François. The collection embodies the values that contribute to the success of the brand: high-end watchmaking designs that are faithful to the Swiss art of fine watchmaking, a high level of retouching, and a special focus on fair prices, so that as many people as possible can touch the luxury watches made in Switzerland.

The collection's focus, the perpetual calendar of its own calibre, features for the first time a dark blue-grey dial, the most fashionable colour in contemporary watchmaking and a symbol of colour harmony inspired by the sea, the sky and space.

The new dial blends blue, grey and black to freeze the fleeting moments between dusk and dawn, while the perpetual calendar, which indicates the date and phases of the moon, is both an expression of this celestial landscape. In addition, the watch also offers day, month and leap year displays, all of which are concentrated on the same dial for easy and intuitive reading.

The navy-gray dial contrasts with white scales, mirror-polished and fluorescent hour markers and hands to ensure perfect legibility. Date, phase, day, month and leap year indications are available at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o'clock, all of which can be adjusted via the small corrector and crown on the case. The center of the dial is decorated with earth-piercing motifs, which are the aesthetic hallmarks of the Highlife collection.

The 41 mm case is fitted with a one-piece bracelet with alternating polished and brushed links. This watch does not have a lug in the conventional sense and wears it smoothly and naturally on the wrist. In addition to the stainless steel bracelet, the watch comes with a navy blue rubber strap that can be easily replaced without any tools, which is another feature of the Highlife collection.

To the delight of watch enthusiasts, the Highlife series blue-gray disc has its own calibre perpetual calendar watch built into the FC-775 self-winding movement on the back of the exquisitely decorated round grain and Geneva pattern, which is pleasing to the eye. (Photo/Text Watch House Xu Chaoyang)
