FIFA official: Vidal's ban has been reduced from three to two and will be fined CHF 5,000

On Wednesday, FIFA officially announced that Chilean midfielder Vidal's ban has been reduced from three to two, but he still has to pay a fine of 5,000 Swiss francs.

Vidal was suspended for three games and was fined CHF 5,000 for being sent off for the World Cup against Ecuador. However, after a complaint by the Chilean Football Federation, FIFA changed the original decision. Although Vidal's ban was changed from three to two, the fine of CHF 5,000 still needs to be paid within 30 days of receiving the penalty notice.

In this case, Vidal will miss the next two matches against Argentina and Bolivia. By March, he will be able to play against Brazil and Uruguay.
