Slovenian Prime Minister Jansha was interviewed by India's official media All India Television on the 17th local time, and in a 30-minute interview, Yangsha mentioned China 15 times, involving the Taiwan issue, neutral relations and Sino-European relations. Among them, he revealed that Slovenia is negotiating with Taiwan to set up a "representative office" and used "country" to refer to Taiwan in the interview, and "regrets" China's opposition to Taiwan's accession to the World Health Organization.

At the regular press conference of the Chinese Foreign Ministry on January 19, spokesman Zhao Lijian said in response to relevant questions: We have noted the Slovenian leader's blatant remarks about challenging the one-China principle and supporting "Taiwan independence." We are deeply shocked and strongly oppose this.

Zhao Lijian stressed: There is only one China in the world, Taiwan is an inalienable part of China's territory, the Government of the People's Republic of China is the sole legitimate government representing the whole of China, and the one-China principle is a universally recognized norm governing international relations and the universal consensus of the international community, as well as the political foundation for Sino-Western and Sino-European relations. China must be reunified, and it is bound to be reunified, and no one should underestimate the strong determination, firm will and strong ability of the Chinese people to defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
