During his time at Real Madrid, he made 600 appearances for the club, scored 182 goals, and won many honors including 6 European Champions Club Cup (the predecessor of the UEFA Champions League) and 12 La Liga trophies. He is also the only player in football history who has lifted the Champions League trophy six times so far.

Hunto's coffin will be parked at the Bernabeu from the evening of the 18th to noon on the 19th to receive mourning. Real Madrid have announced that fans can travel to the Bernabeu to bid farewell to their honorary president.
