The 10th Gulangyu Piano Festival came to a successful conclusion

Taiwan Straits Herald reporter Sun Chunyan, January 20 (Straits Herald reporter) Gulang listened to the sound of the waves accompanied by the piano, a few days ago, the 10th Gulangyu Piano Festival and Gulangyu Island Double Piano Competition came to an end in the "Piano Island" Xiamen Gulangyu Island, after fierce competition, young pianist, Steinway artist Jiang Xia and Shanghai Conservatory of Music piano student Chen Hao won the crown of this double piano competition.

This year marks the fifth anniversary of Gulangyu Island's inscription on the World Cultural Heritage List, and this year's Piano Festival is hosted by the Gulangyu Island-Wanshishan Scenic and Historic Area Management Committee, aiming to further protect and inherit the history and culture of Gulangyu Island, promote the openness, inclusiveness and exchange and mutual learning of Chinese and foreign cultures, and make the golden business card of Gulangyu Island "Island of Music" shine more brightly.

Through the unique form of double piano performance, this competition shows the Confucian way of music and art of "resonance of the piano, the unity of beauty and goodness", while building a platform for piano art exchange, carrying forward the characteristics of Gulangyu music culture and highlighting the public welfare of Gulangyu music culture.
