Located in Baishiqiao, Haidian District, the Capital Stadium will host two competitions, short track speed skating and figure skating, during the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.
After the reconstruction, the Capital Stadium has added barrier-free seats at the same time, and the width between all the seats in the stadium has also been increased, which has improved the comfort of spectators. The venue also updated the video display system, adding sky screen projection and ring screen, and the stereoscopic effect is more obvious. Unlike many new venues, the Capital Gymnasium not only maintains the original style of the old venues, but also adds a lot of high-tech elements, which can be said to be "old venues, high-tech, new changes".
From February 4 to 19, the short track speed skating and figure skating competitions of the Beijing Winter Olympics will all be held at the Capital Gymnasium, resulting in a total of 14 gold medals.
