<b> </b>Jonathan Herman, screenwriter of "Rushing Out of Complton," is expected to write a live-action version of Ghost in the Shell, starring Scarlett Johansson.

According to foreign media sources, Jonathan Herman, the screenwriter of this year's hit film "Rush out of Compton", will join the movie "Ghost in the Shell Live-Action Version" starring Scarlett Johansson, and finally rewrite the script that William Wheeler and Jamie Moss have completed.

The Japanese manga series Ghost in the Shell series, created by Masamune Shiro, has been adapted to the screen several times in the form of animation. The first animated film was a 1995 version directed by Oshii Mori. The live-action adaptation of the film will be starring Scarlett Johansson. Interestingly, many fans of the original book expressed dissatisfaction with the Asian character played by white people and launched a petition to change roles.

"Ghost in the Shell" tells the story of Japan after the Fourth World War, where science and technology are super developed, with the rapid development of communication network technology and human electronic mechanization technology, computer crime has become more and more rampant and complex, in response to this situation, the government has set up a special unit led by major Suzi Kusanagi, an electronic biochemical person, to combat criminal activities. Scarlett Johansson will play a female police officer, Suko Kusanagi.

The film will be directed by Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders and will open in New Zealand early next year and is currently scheduled for release on 31 March 2017.
