Liverpool official: Former CEO Peter Robinson died this morning at the age of 86

According to liverpool's official website, team star Peter Robinson died on Wednesday morning local time.

Robinson has been a key figure behind the team's 35 years at Liverpool, and his behind-the-scenes work began shortly before Liverpool won the FA Cup for the first time in 1965. He worked with Liverpool's then-president, John Smith, to modernise Liverpool's operations and to recruit players for Liverpool in the transfer market. In addition, the two also promoted the modernization of Anfield Stadium, including the addition of new stands and the renovation of the stadium's lighting facilities.

Robinson provided support to a number of Liverpool managers during his tenure and improved the team's infrastructure, from the early Bill Sheckley to the later Gerald Hollier. Robinson changed his role at Liverpool in 1992 as THE TEAM's CEO, where he exerted his influence during his tenure, signing the first shirt sponsorship agreement in The Club's history for Liverpool, negotiating an agreement on television rights, and participating in the construction of the team's youth base.

Although he always likes to avoid the spotlight, he is still one of the most beloved and respected people in the hearts of fans. Robinson left Liverpool in 2000 and during his tenure Liverpool won a total of 29 trophies, including 12 league trophies and 4 European trophies. Robinson once said: "I used to have the opportunity to work for clubs outside of Liverpool, but I never wanted to get out of here. ”
