Shi Da opened the mystery of the treasure
Shi Dakai (March 1831 – June 27, 1863), nicknamed Yada, nicknamed Shi Dangdang, was a native of Heping County, Guangdong Province, in Gui county, Guangxi (now Qishi Township, Gangbei District, Guigang City). A famous general of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, he was a modern Chinese military figure. He was once named "The Wing King of the Divine Telegraph Army" and was revered as the "Righteous King".
In the twenty-seventh year of Daoguang (1847), Shi Dakai followed Hong Xiuquan and worshiped God, and in December of the first year of Xianfeng (1851), Yong'an was established, and Shi Dakai was enfeoffed as the "Wing King 5,000 Years Old". In February of the fifth year of Xianfeng (1855), the Xiang Army's marine division was severely damaged at jiujiang and hukou, and he took advantage of the victory to march west and take three grams of Wuchang. In November, it marched into Jiangxi and captured a large area of the three provinces of Anhui, Gansu and Hubei. In the seventh year of Xianfeng (1857), during the Tianjing Incident, he was named "The Left Army's Main General Wing King", and on June 2, he once again fled from Tianjing. In October, the Generals of Anqing were driven into Jiangxi, turned east and west, tried to rescue the Yidian armies of Ruizhou, Linjiang, and Ji'an, which were besieged by the Xiang Army, abandoned Jiangxi after losing, passed through Zhejiang and Fujian, and moved to the southern provinces, and in May of the second year of Tongzhi (1863), he led his people deep into the Yuexi Mountains and reached the south bank of the Dadu River, and finally the whole army was destroyed, and Shi Dakai was captured. On June 27, he died in Chengdu at the age of 32.
Shi Dakai is one of the most legendary figures in the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, he sympathized with the people's livelihood, his life deeds have been praised by future generations, and he is considered to be "the most perfect image of the peasant uprisings in China throughout the ages".
After the "Tianjing Incident" of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, Shi Dakai led more than 200,000 troops and materials to tianjing (present-day Nanjing) in order to avoid disasters and was surrounded and blocked by Qing soldiers. In 1863, Shi Dakai led his troops to Anshun Field in Sichuan. In front of it, there was the choppy Dadu River, and then there were Qing soldiers surrounding and blocking it. In order to leave a way for the brethren to live, Shi Dakai chose to surrender himself to the Qing Dynasty. According to legend, before Shi Dakai's army defeated the Dadu River, he buried a large amount of gold and silver treasures in the army in a secret place, and Shi Dakai still had a schematic map of the treasure at that time. On the map is written the eight-character hidden phrase "facing the water and backing the mountain, treasure in between".
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Liu Xiang, chairman of the Kuomintang Sichuan Province, secretly sent more than 1,000 sappers to dig, and under the hillside behind the Zida Dikou Gaoshengdian on the Dadu River, the sappers chiseled through the mountain wall to see three caves, each of which was sealed with triad soil. After digging two caves, only sporadic gold and jade and broken weapons were found inside. Just as he was about to dig the third larger cave, Chiang Kai-shek knew about it. He sent people to stop it and used the "Forbidden City Antiquities Protection Committee" to send a telegram banning excavations.
Shortly thereafter, Liu was ordered to lead his troops out of Sichuan to resist Japan. The digging of the treasure was halted. According to the researchers' investigation of the site, according to the area where the three caves are located and the degree of construction, it is suspected that they were hastily built when the Taiping Army was trapped. As for whether Shi Dakai hid treasure in it, he could only solve the mystery by waiting until he continued to dig deeper.
