Although the device is not dated, its era characteristics are distinct, and it can be regarded as the Longquan firing of the Yuan Dynasty. The phenomenon of the removal of the upper middle of the neck is also seen in the Longquan Celadon in the Topkapi Palace Museum in Istanbul, Turkey, which is caused by the reprocessing and modification of the artifacts according to local food customs and aesthetic customs, but it may also be caused by the severe damage of the truncated parts.

Ming Celadon Peony Arabesque Bundai Bottle

Height 59.4, caliber 23.3, base diameter 13.6 cm

Donated by Yoshio Tanaka in 1874

The vessel weighs more than 13 kilograms and is a model of the Ming Dynasty Longquan ware. Such large vases are treasured by temples and other temples in Japan.

Yoshio Tanaka (1838–1916) was a naturalist from the end of the shogunate to the Meiji period (Naturalism in Japan generally refers to zoology, botany, and mineralogy), agronomist, and fisheries scientist, and the "father of museums" in Japan. He received sinology and western studies from an early age, and in his early years studied medicine and Materia Medica (Chinese herbal medicine) with Keisuke Ito, and later took charge of property science. In 1867, as an important member of the shogunate, Tanaka Yoshio took his own insect specimens to Paris to participate in the Second World Exposition. Tanaka, who became a Meiji government official after returning to China, based on his experience in Paris, proposed various proposals for museums and expositions, and successively proposed the establishment of various social and educational facilities (museums, zoos and botanical gardens, libraries) and the implementation of the domestic exposition. The Library (the predecessor of the National Diet Library), the Museum (the predecessor of the Tokyo National Museum and the National Museum of Science), and the Ueno Zoo were built on this basis.

He has successively served as the director of the Agricultural Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture and Commerce, the director of the museum, the member of the Senate, and the member of the House of Nobles. Throughout his life, he pursues pragmatism, takes "practicality" as the belief, researches and popularizes things that are beneficial to society, publicizes new technologies, inventions, and new products to the society, and participates in the establishment of various schools, educational institutions, and societies. In 1906, he was awarded the Order of the Rainbow Medal first class, and in 1915 he was awarded the title of "Baron" for his outstanding achievements in various fields such as academia and agriculture, forestry and fishery administration.

Height 7.8, diameter 6.8 cm

The word "night study" is said to have been passed down from China, and the Japanese believe that the seat is a lampstand for ancient Chinese scholars to pick up lamps and read and place lighting lamps at night.

According to the relevant excavation data of the mainland, such small utensils with small size and imitation furniture style are mostly popular in the Yuan Dynasty and are generally used to place small bottles. In 1984, a long-necked Jizi bottle with a seat was excavated from the cellar of Hecheng Town, Qingtian County, which is an example, and the Longquan Museum also has related collections. Important Cultural Properties

Height 20.9 cm

This Piece of Kannon porcelain is damaged and not in good condition, but it has been officially designated as an "Important Cultural Property" by Japanese officials. The author has inquired about limited relevant information, and it is judged that this Kannon statue was once the old shrine of Nagasaki. It can be seen that in Japan's evaluation of the grade of collections, the value of cultural relics is often higher than the artistic value.
