From October 26 to November 26, the Shanghai Chrysanthemum Exhibition will be held in Gongqing Forest Park, with more than 500 chrysanthemum varieties in 200,000 pots lighting up autumn colors. This is the first large-scale flower exhibition in Gongqing Forest Park since it opened for free on July 1.
On October 25, the surging news (www.thepaper.cn) reporter visited the Gongqing Forest Park in advance, and the chrysanthemum exhibition area in the park has been arranged, and various chrysanthemums are waiting to be released, and some varieties have bloomed under the autumn sun. Zhang Shoufeng, deputy director of Gongqing Forest Park, told reporters that due to the continuous high temperature some time ago, this year's chrysanthemum flowering period is 5-10 days later than in previous years, and the best flower viewing period is expected to be november 10-15.
According to the garden, the chrysanthemum exhibition has four outdoor exhibition areas: theme attraction exhibition area, chrysanthemum boutique exhibition area, citizen chrysanthemum art exhibition area, chrysanthemum science popularization culture exhibition area, a total of 10 groups of outdoor attractions, so that citizens can enjoy the fine chrysanthemums around the world without leaving "Shanghai".
In the fine chrysanthemum display area, nearly 400 varieties of chrysanthemums from all over the country, such as traditional monolithic chrysanthemums, polygonal chrysanthemums, desk chrysanthemums, cut flower chrysanthemums, and newly exotic chrysanthemums imported from abroad, were displayed, and traditional chrysanthemums, cliff chrysanthemums, tower chrysanthemums and creative bionic chrysanthemums were arranged to dot the under-forest space.
Walking to the popular science culture display area, chrysanthemum poetry, paintings, atlases, chrysanthemums and celebrities, chrysanthemums and life and other cultural science knowledge, combined with popular science nameplates, exhibition board introductions, interesting stories and other content combined with chrysanthemum landscaping, explained the Chinese chrysanthemum culture and art from a unique perspective.
In addition to the beautiful scenery, this chrysanthemum exhibition also set up a wealth of activities. Shanghai Gongqing Forest Park will turn waste into treasure, processing the dead wood blown off by the typhoon in the park into pieces of annual ring wood chips with different forms and full of natural charm, and recruiting citizens and tourists to paint on the wood chips with the theme of chrysanthemums, which are both coasters and unique exclusive environmental protection artworks.
The Oktoberfest is an annual feast in Gongqing Forest Park, but it has been cancelled due to the needs of epidemic prevention and control. However, the various beer bottles prepared by the park in the early stage will still exert residual heat, and during the chrysanthemum exhibition, the park will launch a creative flower arrangement experience activity, which organically combines beer bottles and various chrysanthemums, and innovatively combines the theme elements of the park's two major brand activities into one for the first time, allowing citizens and tourists to experience the fun of flower arrangement.
After the withdrawal of the flower exhibition, where will the thousands of chrysanthemums go? The garden said that after the exhibition, nearly a thousand pots of more than 50 varieties of chrysanthemums exhibited at the selected flower exhibition were given to the public for free, so that the residual temperature of the flower exhibition could dress up the homes of ordinary people. If properly maintained, these chrysanthemums will continue to bloom next year.
