The world's largest cut diamond is unveiled in Dubai, with an estimated price of at least £5 million

The world's largest cut diamond, a 555.55 carat black diamond, was exhibited in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on the 17th. This rare black diamond is believed to have originated from meteorites or asteroids hitting Earth.

Named "Enigma," the black diamond has 55 facets and has been certified by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's largest cut diamond, agencies AFP reported. After exhibiting in Dubai, "Enigma" will be exhibited in Los Angeles, USA, and then auctioned online by Sotheby's on February 3, with an estimated transaction price of at least 5 million pounds (about 43.34 million yuan), accepting cryptocurrency payments.

According to Sotheby's jewelry expert Sophie Stevens, the "mystery" is believed to be the "formation of chemical vapor deposition" when a meteorite or asteroid hit the Earth 2.6 billion years ago, or itself came from outer space.

Black diamond, also known as black diamond, is an extremely rare natural polycrystalline diamond produced only in Brazil and the Central African Republic. Based on the detection of carbon isotopes and hydrogen, the researchers speculated that the formation of black diamonds was related to outer space.
