According to the Minhang District Information Office, from 15:00 on October 29, Xinzhuang Subway Station will try to open the new south entrance, and the official operation will be implemented from October 30, and the intersection of the original Old Tianqiao will be closed. The passage of the new entrance is about 10 meters wide and about 50 meters long, with two escalators and up and down stairs, and an oblique hanging platform for the disabled is added. The new entrance is next to the original entrance, which is a "shortcut" connecting the mrt station to the South Plaza bus hub compared to the original "L" promenade.

If it is a bus interchange subway, or nearby residents need to take the subway directly, the new channel entrance can be found from the Xinzhuang South Square Bus Hub Distribution Square, which is behind the TODTIME time corridor.
The left aisle in the picture will be closed, and passengers taking Line 1/5 will enter from the South Plaza Bus Hub

As one of the third phase of xinzhuang transportation hub project, it is another entrance and exit adjustment after the reconstruction of the North Square passage in 2019, further realizing the function of the rail interchange platform directly through the bus hub. In the future planning, there are two formal passages at the entrance and exit of the south square of Xinzhuang Subway Station, and this time the opening is one of the passages, and with the advancement of the project, it is expected that both channels will be officially opened at the end of 2023.
In addition to the Xinzhuang South Square bus hub that has been completed and put into use, a large platform of North and South Road (tentative name) will also be built on the east side of the Xinzhuang Transportation Hub Project to connect Shuiqing Road.
