Counting the time, Digimon's animated movie: "Digimon Adventure: The Last Evolution and Bondage" has reached its first anniversary in our mainland, and today I want to review and briefly talk about this animation.
"Digimon Adventure: The Last Evolution, Bondage", when you see this "LAST EVOLUTION" followed by a "trip", you should understand what the producer wants to do.

Evolution is the core element of the Digimon series, and the word "final" is a typical final emotional behavior, and the ugly point is to squeeze out the surplus value. But the producers seem to feel that it is not enough to have the end, and they need to add a suffix - bondage.
At this stage alone, the bad customs of this theatrical version of the animation can already be seen.
But none of this matters, some people may feel that feelings are shields, but it is also an indisputable need, as long as the audience is given what they want to see, then a certain degree of flaws can be forgiven.
"Code Geass Resurrection of Lulu xiu" is a good example, compared with the 2006 TV version, it obviously gave up a lot of meticulous pursuits, but also without violating the original intention, to meet the needs of every fan, can be called a textbook final feeling.
Does The Last Evolution do that? The first ten minutes did it.
The parrot beast that appears again, and is once again beaten by the Tyrannosaurus Beast, the "Bolero Dance" that has impressed the audience in the TV anime, "Brave Heart" that almost represents the word "evolution", and the old version of "Butterfly" by Koji Wada.
Bringing together the above many elements, "The Last Evolution" can be described as the highest standard of emotional treatment in the opening stage, and anyone who watches these ten minutes of content can feel the "childhood" and "growth" that are about to overflow from the screen.
But unfortunately, your feelings ended when the song "Butterfly" fell.
There will be some spoilers next, and if you still decide to see it here, then come back and check out this article later – although the theatrical version has nothing to spoil in the plot.
As the final boss of the Ios Beast, its butterfly appearance can be said to be a very obvious foreshadowing, coupled with the close-up butterfly hair ornament given by Menova when he appeared, it is simply the most obvious hint for the first generation of Digimon fans who have less than ten or twenty years of film reading experience. Yamato, on the other hand, was the suspicious man next to Menova, who, according to tradition, was certainly not behind the scenes, and there were only two additional people who appeared.
Immediately after the great battle of the Ios Beast, the Yagu Beast and the Gabu Beast skipped the Ultimate Body, and directly came to a simple Fusion to instantly show the Omega Beast's bottom card, but suddenly lifted the Fusion at the crucial moment of replenishment, thus leading to the approval of the core of "The Last Evolution"——
When the chosen child grows up, he will usher in a parting with digimon.
As early as the planning stage of "The Last Evolution", as a veteran figure in the creative team of "Digimon Baby", the director of the first two seasons of the SERIEs TV animation, Hiroyuki, quit the project for some reasons, and from the information he released in various channels at that time, "some reasons" should be that the setting and concept of the new work have a major conflict with the original work.
After watching "The Last Evolution", it is self-evident what this setting is.
As a theatrical version that followed Digimon Adventure 02, The Last Evolution is not only a rotten tear film, but also based on the shattered original.
The core setting of "The Last Evolution", when you grow up, you will part with Digimon, which is the most typical death countdown to sell tears. But the problem is that the film does not make any characterization of the concept of "growing up" at all.
There is no countdown for the eldest man, no countdown for Mitsukoro, who has realized his dream, a countdown to Taiichi and Yamato, who are still confused about the future, and a countdown to Menova, who has no confusion about the future. The situation of these four characters makes the concept of "growing up" in "The Last Evolution" have a serious logical contradiction.
Based on the length of The Last Evolution and the quality of the script, it neither had all the first-generation characters fight side by side, nor did it create enough preparation to render the final reversal. Among them, As the first generation of heroines, Suna was dropped the whole time, with only a few shots, and two lines of "I decided not to fight again" and "I believe everyone".
Su Na's drop line must have confused many viewers, but the official actually made a short film called "Empty へ" in addition to "The Last Evolution", the title of which can be translated as "Flying to the Sky" or "To Suna". In this short film, it is explained why Suna chose not to fight anymore, and why she was the first to be separated from Digimon.
But even without mentioning that the core setting of "The Last Evolution" mentioned above is contrary to the original, the practice of supplementing the setting with "DLC" alone is already very stupid.
So what is the core concept of Digimon Adventure 02? It is a dream, as long as you have a dream, you can meet the Digimon, and it has nothing to do with age or even good or evil. In other words, whether it's getting older, or realizing a dream or not, it won't cause the chosen child to be separated from the Digimon.
In addition, in order to sell feelings, "The Last Evolution" also ate the key plot of the original in many details, such as the goggles handed over by the first generation protagonist Taiyi to the hands of the second generation protagonist Daisuke, and in the final evolution, I don't know why it returned to Taiyi's hands.
It can be seen that "The Last Evolution" is purely using the timeline of the first generation of characters after "Digimon Adventure 02" has grown up, and then pulling out a tears-selling setting of a parting countdown, and then using the opening emotional package to bring into the rhythm, and finally synthesizing a "childhood feeling".
Hitchcock's 1000-like song song:
"Dramatic stories of people dying sell well, don't you?
Aren't stories of people dying dramatically best-selling? But I am heartbroken by this behavior of placing prices on even the withering of flowers.
