Philippe Coutinho revealed that after discussing a possible move to Aston Villa with Steven Gerrard, he was "very clear" about his next move after Barcelona.
The Brazil international has completed his work on loan to Villa Park until the end of the season and is said to be a permanent player for £33m.
Coutinho arrived in England this afternoon and will meet his new team-mates for the first time on Wednesday morning at Bodymoor Heath.
Speaking about his arrival, Coutinho told VillaTV: "It's a pleasure to be here; it's a great club.
"I talked a lot to the manager, Steve, and he told me about the club and his ambitions. I'm happy to be here and I hope to enjoy my football. "
