The plot of the film immediately follows the end of the previous film, ah is in the cell battle to beat Dami to serious injury, and with his mouth to rip off one of the killer male's ears raw, so he was sentenced to fourteen months of additional sentences. Why didn't he want to leave this land of right and wrong as soon as possible and reunite with Xiao Liang, but he was in prison and couldn't help himself, and it was impossible to be a grass that no one noticed and fluttered with the wind. Ah Zheng, who wants to run for his mother's funeral, submits an application to the "ghost" and wants to leave and go home.
However, the "ghost" wants to blackmail Ah Zheng into betraying his inmates and revealing the false information of the fight. Ah Zheng, who experienced the first baptism of wind and rain, naturally knew the principle that even if he was killed by the prison guards in prison, he could never be sentenced to prisonmates, so he had to endure grief and mourn his mother with a cigarette inserted in oranges in prison.
Of course, Ah Zheng could not bear to let his son live alone outside, and since the formal leave was blocked by the "ghost", he went to jail to reunite with his son. Ah Zheng stole a prison guard's uniform while he was working in the kitchen. After the prison guards found him escaping, they quickly assembled to board the personnel carrier, and Ah Zheng, disguised as a prison guard, also hid under the car in muddy waters. The first thing Ah Zheng did when he escaped from prison was to run to the orphanage to secretly see his son.
The interaction between Ah Zheng and Xiao Liang's father and son is particularly loving, and Xiao Liang just follows him with his head down far behind him after seeing his father, hiding the report card behind him. But the main motivating force behind Ah Zheng's actions was the father-son relationship, which was thicker than water, and he could endure any pain and torture for the comfort of his lonely son outside the prison.
In the second half of the film, in order to torture Ah Zheng, "Ghost See" deliberately transferred him to the cell of the "Mainland Boy" who was hostile to him. Seeing that the front was the wolf's lair and the back was the fierce tiger, Ah Zheng instead abandoned all hopes, sacrificed his life, and escaped from the prison surrounded by prison guards.
The goal of Ah Zheng's second escape from prison is to escape back to the mainland with his son and fly away. But this plan ultimately fell short on to the police.
In addition to the father-son relationship, another clue that runs through the whole text is the brotherhood between Ah Zheng and the "Great Circle Dragon". Before being imprisoned in Hong Kong prison, the "Great Circle Dragon" once served in the army on the mainland and also served as a production captain, and he was proud and righteous, which not only won the respect of the mainland brothers in prison, but also made the "Aberdeen" in prison not rejected.
However, one of his brothers, the "Skull", could not see the peaceful coexistence between "Mainland Boy" and "Aberdeen Hong Kong", and always wanted to provoke trouble between the two sides.

Compared with the first part, Lin Lingdong not only broadened the main story line from one to two, but also made a new breakthrough in the atmosphere creation of the film.
