Paris, 15 Jan (China News Service) -- Chinese Ambassador to France Lu Shaye and his wife were invited to visit the Cotangtan Dairy Cooperative in the Normandy region of northwestern France on 14 January local time. During his visit, Lu Shaye said that the public opinion foundation of Sino-French friendship is deep.

On the same day, accompanied by Lewa was the president of the Dairy Cooperative Group, and Fortain, the general manager, Lu Shaye listened carefully to the introduction of the cooperative's operation mode, business development, and cooperation with China, visited the dairy production line, coastal pastures and dairy cattle breeding bases, and conducted in-depth and friendly exchanges with the responsible persons of the cooperatives and representatives of dairy farmers on Sino-French relations and cooperation in the field of agricultural food between the two countries.
At the end of the exchange, the cooperative held a grand letter forwarding ceremony. Levassell read out his letter to Chinese President Xi Jinping on behalf of all members of the cooperative, in which he highly appreciated President Xi Jinping's ecological civilization idea that "green waters and green mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains" put forward by President Xi Jinping, and praised this idea as highly consistent with the concept and practice of the cooperative over the past century. The cooperative attaches great importance to the Chinese market, is eager to join the "Belt and Road" initiative, and hopes to achieve better and faster development with the help of the "China-Europe Express" platform. All members of the cooperative firmly support the Beijing Winter Olympics, wish this sports event a complete success, and hope that the chinese and French peoples can be peaceful and friendly for generations and "work together for the future".

In his speech, Lu Shaye said that under the joint leadership of the two heads of state, the China-France comprehensive strategic partnership has continued to develop in depth. According to reports, the Normandy Cotentan Dairy Cooperative was founded in 1986, with 1200 farms, more than 1100 farmers, more than 5000 employees, an annual turnover of about 2 billion euros, is one of the largest dairy enterprises in France, and is also the only French dairy enterprise that accompanied French President Macron to visit China in 2019.
