With 5 goals and 1 assist in 5 games, Sterling was named premier league player of the month in December

On January 14, the Premier League officially announced that Manchester City star Sterling was elected the best player of december.

In December last year, Sterling scored five goals and assisted one time in five games, reaching the Premier League 100-goal milestone. In Manchester City's 2-1 fixture against Villa, he assisted in Díaz's opening record and then scored against Watford, Wolves, Newcastle and Leicester City.
