In recent years, Wu Fuchuan's team at Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden has carried out in-depth research in the fields of passionflower stem base rot pathogen identification, resistance resource screening and utilization, and new variety breeding, and achieved a number of results. Among them, the team identified for the first time the pathogenic bacteria of Yunnan purple fruit passionflower stem base rot and applied for 2 invention patents in resource utilization.
