Hello everyone, I am Sun Powerless, thank you for the original painter's invitation to interview. Currently a freelancer, his paintings are mainly flat paint, because he prefers to keep line drawings, which is also related to watching anime when he was a child.
Usually basically in addition to painting is cooking, swimming fitness, very daily and ordinary life, in fact, do not love sports, but work sedentary body is not very good forced to exercise. I like to watch movies, but I rarely watch it this year, I have a lot of freelance time, but I seem to be very busy all the time, maybe it is the reason for my freedom, I want to do more.
When did you first come into contact with painting?
People who know me know that I am from a non-science class, and many people misunderstand that I have not studied painting as if I have drawn well at once.
But no, although I did not study traditional painting, I studied plate painting for half a year when I graduated from college, and I also learned some knowledge in the art class at the university, which was my experience with "others".
But I have liked to draw since I went to school, I have always had my own blind painting copying, just interest hobby but not interrupted, painting for so many years, my observation ability will come out, so the understanding in this aspect of painting will be stronger.
This can be said to be talent, as a friend of mine said: "Talent is not born, but innately better at understanding this aspect than others."
People always have an advantage, just like I don't know how to divide fractions now, and the mathematical ability is all given to painting. But compared to those who are really talented, I am just an ordinary person who works as hard as ordinary people.
What do you think of an individual's painting style?
Style is more concerned at home, it should be painted well to have style, rather than painting badly and hard to find a style. The standard of good painting is not high, there is a rough idea, and then you can start to try to think about your own preferences first, rather than seeing who is popular, anyone has their own painting style, because aesthetic preferences are different.
I think that the style is flat and thick and so on, which can also be called painting. The so-called style that can come out is just a kind of painting more, into a series, and it is called your style, so the style is that you insist on drawing in one way, but at the beginning it is certainly indispensable to imitate.
I like Hayao Miyazaki, Matsumoto Onyo, Otomo Katsuyo, Imatoshi these people, in the early days are more influenced by the Japanese manga, when painting will also refer to their designs and ideas, over time, will paint, only began to slowly return to themselves, restore their own ideas.
Is the color scheme of the illustration a reflection of your mood when you create it?
I have always felt that the color sense of those who have played with the inherent color and completely used the ambient color or the emotional color to paint is really good, I just restore the color that nature should have.
It's like drawing an apple, if I use blue I always think it's a blueberry and not an apple. It's just that I like to use a lot of colors, so I will deliberately unify the general environment color in order to keep the picture not chaotic, just like the "Seven Colors" series, that is, I deliberately use a color system (adjacent color) to paint, keep it uniform, you can try it.
Color reaction emotions are my research a while ago, mainly thinking that when I was in junior high school, everyone would ask you what color you like, and then each color would correspond to some personality attributes, such as green is youth, blue is hesitation, color will give people some emotional hints, colors are used too much in different situations, such as the green of youth, can also be toxic liquid green, and represent the bottom of the waste dirty mess.
How to make your design look more stylish
Fashion I am not yet, the characters in my paintings wear is my own way of wearing, I like to wear, but there are certainly many ways to wear fashion, this I am not smart.
Looking back at some of my own illustrated costumes will also feel old-fashioned, so more concerned about the design form, these can make up for the attention all in the wear, just like the scene of my painting I think it should not be more interesting than wearing it?
Everyday character design can start from the people around you, you will find that the character has attributes, such as programmers draw a plaid shirt on the line, if it is to design a game character, then you have to write the setting, the character's historical background, ability, occupation, moves, like an archer, always can not design a big robe to wear it.
What was your favorite work in the last year?
I am most satisfied with the following one, because the emotion of the picture is what I want. The painting says: I have experienced deeply unforgettable and painful things, but when I suddenly think of these things one day, I realize that I have forgotten and diluted them. What was once thought important has now vanished.
I grasp this point and warn myself that I also want to express to those who are experiencing painful or unforgettable events: the past will eventually pass, and when the day of my release comes, I will pack up my heart and turn it into a cloud, and at the dawn of the dawn, say goodbye to it and welcome a new day.

Who do you think is the most challenging "blank"?
It should be a joint name with Chi Yi, because the whole dragon is a closed shape, if you can loose some can also draw other animals to match, in fact, this picture is too complete, there is no point that can be inserted, so it is a headache, so in the end you can only refine the background.
Later there is time to draw together with everyone, but I don't have many friends, it seems that there are no friends who can "use" haha, because this series is an experiment that I myself am lazy and want to broaden my thinking to start doing, this cooperation is my friends draw well for me to supplement the things behind, I do this according to their design, it is very easy, it is to steal their style and ideas.

Is there anything innovative about the new series "Leaves and Flowers"?
This series is a painting that does not know what to draw, just started to draw the dynamic practice of the characters, and then added the scene, people are I mentioned that I finished painting before thinking about how to match the scene, fortunately, I thought of using the traditional things of the pen to paint.
This point will be very attractive, there is no need to design anything here, that is, the painting object should look like it, but a style of painting will become more and more good after a long time, and you can see that when I last took it, I can already combine the feeling of the brush with my previous style.

This year's work will still be based on receiving orders and teaching, maintaining their basic living needs, and spending more time to create. Then this year I want to change the face of the character, I don't know when to start painting the face is too standard, I start to feel bored, I want to try to change, and I want to try to start drawing a little bit with a story.
