The Post: Former Newcastle boss Ashley sued The now-acquired Newcastle CEO Staffieri and her husband

According to the Daily Mail, former Newcastle boss Ashley filed a lawsuit against Staveley, the current Newcastle co-owner, Stavioli and her husband, and filed a claim.

Ashley is known to have filed a claim against Stavelli and her husband, Mehdad Gudosi, through his company, with further details not yet being made public. Stavilli, a financier, facilitated the Saudi consortium's £305 million acquisition of Newcastle in October last year.

Staveli and Gudosi have not yet been served indictment, but they are already aware of the case. Representatives of both sides have declined to comment on this for the time being. But legal action suggests that relations between Ashley and Staveli have indeed deteriorated since the acquisition was completed three months ago.

The deal ended Staveli's four-year quest for Newcastle, followed by a Saudi consortium that now owns 80 percent of the club and the rest is divided between Staveli and the Ruben brothers.

The new club has signed Trippier for £12m and has been warmly welcomed by fans. Staffieri, who has club management authority, and her husband watched the FA Cup match yesterday with Newcastle president and PIF president Yasser Al Rumayan.

Meanwhile Ashley was rumored to be buying Derby County for £50 million, which is currently playing in the Championship and is at the bottom of the table after being penalized for financial problems.
