The new art auditorium project of Hefei No.1 Middle School is located on the east side of the south entrance of the teaching area of Binhu Campus. The total construction area is 17529.29 square meters, with 4 floors above ground and 1 floor underground, and the main functions include an auditorium, art, vocal music, dance, calligraphy and other art teaching and auxiliary rooms.
The design of the art auditorium extracts the form and artistic conception of the knowledge treasure box, and the "knowledge treasure box" is carefully carved and quietly stood in the campus, which is in line with the historical tradition of Hefei No. 1 Middle School cultivating many talents for the country. As a cultural symbol of the campus and the memory carrier of the students, it complements the thickness and science of the school emblem.
The exterior walls use stone to shape the campus cultural "container", simple and pure, accumulated with the school over time, and witnessed a new history. The original building and the new art auditorium represent different eras, and walking through them is like being in a corridor of time, evoking beautiful emotions for the campus.
The art auditorium will create a suitable "cultural container" and "cultural place", and poetically express the campus spirit of "civilization, beauty, diligence and innovation" of Hefei No. 1 Middle School. At present, the main structure of the new art auditorium has been successfully capped, and it is planned to be ready for use in September 2022.
After the completion of the art auditorium, it can solve the current situation of the lack of function of the school auditorium, play an important role in enhancing the influence of Hefei No. 1 Middle School for a hundred years, and lay a solid foundation for the successful holding of the 120th anniversary of Hefei No. 1 Middle School.
