Yao

According to the Dictionary of Chinese History, it is called Tang Yao. Legend has it that he was an ancient emperor. The son of Emperor Zhao ,祁姓, given the name Fangxun , was originally from Tang , so he was called Tao Tang (Tao Tang). Dai Zhi ascended the throne at Capital Pingyang (present-day southwest of Linfen, Shanxi). Officials were set up to divide their duties, and Xi Zhong, Xi Shu, He Zhong, and He Shu lived in the east, south, west, and north of the four directions, observing the celestial signs and formulating the calendar, so that when they were given to the people, they were named "Four Yue". At that time, the floods flowed in all directions, destroyed the mountains, washed away the fields, and the people suffered. Yao wanted to cure the flood, and the "Four Peaks" recommended the fish to control the water, but it did not succeed in nine years. In his later years, the "Four Mountains" recommended Shun, and Sui Zen was located in Shun. Shun Nai was at Yushan (羽山, in present-day southwest of Ganyu, Jiangsu) and ordered Yu to continue to cure the flood. Or because of the decline of Yao De, Shun forced him to give way, and because of this, he "restored Sedan Zhu (YaoZi) so that he would not see his father" ("History of the Five Emperors Benji" Zhang Shoujie Zhengyi quoted in the "Bamboo Book Chronicle").
