[Official announcement] Loan player Giles returned to the first team

Wolves have officially announced that loan player Ryan Giles has been recalled from Cardiff City and he will be preparing with Laje's first team.

Giles, now 21, has played well in the first half of the Championship season, tied for first place in assists with nine assists.

Giles entered Wolves Academy at the age of 8 and in December 2020 he renewed a long contract with the club. He has travelled to Coventry, Shrewsbury, Rotherham and Cardiff City on loan and has nearly 100 professional games.

Wolves technical director Scott Silas said: "Giles has been great during his loan spell, playing well in two positions as winger and wing-back. Due to COVID-19, injuries, international match days, the player was frequently absent, so we recalled him. He was pushed up front at Cardiff City and his assists were stunning and now he will have the opportunity to show his abilities to Laje in the Wolves first team. ”
