The origin of Langfang's name is closely related to a historical celebrity who was born in the local area. His name was Lü Qi, and he served as a waiter in the Jin Dynasty after the Five Dynasties Period. Although Lü Qi is not very famous in history, his son is famous. Lü Duan in "Zhuge Was Cautious in His Life, and Lü Duan's Major Affairs Were Not Confused" was Lü Qi's son, who served as prime minister in the early years of the Northern Song Dynasty. When Lü Qi was in office, he built a large mansion in his hometown, which is now Langfang City. Because the house is tall and famous, and the owner of the house is a soldier waiter, it has become a landmark building in this area, and the people call it "waiter room". After a long time, "Waiter's Room" became the name of the village. After a long period of oral writing, slowly, it evolved into Langfang ——— Langfang ——— Langfang.
