Bild: As an alternative centre-back, Germany could call up Hummels again

According to Bild, Germany may continue to recruit Dortmund defender Hummels.

After Frick took office, Hummels was delayed in being selected for the German team due to injury problems. Still, Bild believes Hummels is expected to re-enter Germany. As things stand, Hummels could be selected for Germany as a substitute for Rudiger, Jules, Correll and Günter.

Hummels' primary goal for now remains to restore health. Using international match days, Hummels has been doing personal training. During the winter break, Hummels plans to train every day, and he hopes to be at his best level again.
