On April 28, the reporter learned from Lanzhou Customs that a few days ago, after passing the quarantine of Tianshui Customs under Lanzhou Customs, 1.5 tons of canned sweet corn from Gansu Province were successfully exported to Madagascar. This is the first time that canned sweet corn from Gansu Province has been exported to Madagascar.
Corn is the largest grain crop in Gansu Province. Gansu Province belongs to the temperate continental climate, long sunshine time, large temperature difference between day and night, very suitable for corn planting, planting and producing corn with high quality and good taste, favored by domestic and foreign markets. Since last year, with the increase in the demand for canned products in the international market, the export of canned corn in Gansu Province has shown a continuous growth trend.
Up to now, canned sweet corn in Gansu Province has been exported to 23 countries and regions such as Germany, Spain and Norway. In the first quarter of this year, the export value of sweet corn canned in Gansu Province reached 346,000 yuan.
