It is worth mentioning that because An Dehai was unpopular in the palace, someone returned this matter to Ding Baozhen, the inspector of Shandong, long before he came to Shandong. According to the record:

Once in a while, the compound said: I heard that An Dehai will go to Guangdong, and will pass through the Shandong border, and if I pass, I will insist on killing it, and I will hear about it for my sins.
That is to say, Ding Baozhen's killing of Andehai was actually a planned thing, waiting for Andehai to come and send him to death.
Sure enough, Ding Baozhen quoted the ancestral precepts of Shunzhi, saying that "eunuchs are not allowed to leave the imperial city without being sent." On this ground, Andhai was arrested and secretly reported to Beijing.
Coincidentally, when Ande hainan came down, it happened that his patron, Empress Dowager Cixi, was ill and did not take care of the government.
Therefore, other people in the DPRK who did not like Andehai immediately made a decision and demanded that Ding Baozhen immediately kill Andehai. allegedly:
If the eunuch was not severely punished, why did he follow suit by suppressing the palace and forbiding him? Ding Baozhen quickly dispatched a commissioner to strictly investigate the eunuch surnamed Liupin Lan Ling'an in his place, so that the entourage and other witnesses were correct, and without interrogation, they were to correct the law on the spot, and they were not allowed to be cunning. If the eunuch heard the wind and turned back to the straight realm, that is, Zeng Guofan was one and strictly took the Fa. If there is any indulgence, the overseer is to ask. His followers, etc., who have traces of banditry, are severely punished and punished separately, and there is no need to do any more requests.

As soon as the Holy Will arrived, Anderhai's head fell to the ground. Not only that, Ding Baozhen also gave Cixi a step down.
Since everyone knew that An Dehai was Cixi's confidant, killing him now was tantamount to saying that the empress dowager had condoned the eunuchs. Therefore, Ding Baozhen openly said that An Dehai had left the palace privately, which was also a face save for Cixi.
Therefore, after the incident, Cixi did not pursue Ding Baozhen, but directly raided Andehai's home.
After Anderhay's death, the corpse was violent for three days. Presumably, it is indeed the intention of letting everyone know that he is a real eunuch.
